Hailey and Haiden have been taking swimming lessons this summer. However, with only 30 minutes a week I did not expect any miracles. Especially since we don't have a pool at home to practice in. Guess what, miracles happen!
We had been swimming at a friend's all day. Haiden loves to just float around in his vest, and occasionally jump off the highest rock he can find into the deepest part of the pool. Hailey was playing on dry land for a while and took off her vest. When she got back in the pool she forgot to put her it back on. I reminded her of that fact and she said she was going to stay on the reef seat. After a few minutes of playing she forgot and jumped into the deeper part of the pool (my friend was right there). Hailey sank to the bottom like a brick, but came right back to the surface. She looked absolutely panicked, but miraculously swam to the edge. I think she even surprised herself! We made her swim one more time, but then she ran out of the pool and immediately put the vest on. Hailey tends to be a little overly cautious (like her mother).

I love this blog! I get to see what you and Sean and the kids are up to while sitting at my computer at work! So awesome. The kids have me cracking up all day which is a little weird since I sit by myself in a corner of the office.
