Watching the Rain

Hailey went into the garage yesterday to watch the rain. Sean was working on a car, so Hailey spent a couple hours with her friend watching the downpour.

Roller Blades

Haiden had a good time on his new roller blades. He thought falling and trying to get back up again was fun!

1st Tooth Fairy Visit

Hailey's bottom tooth has been loose for quite a while. Up until yesterday, she looked like a shark because her big teeth had already grown in behind her little teeth. She almost knocked it out brushing her teeth this morning. Sean went in a pulled it before school. We must have forgot to mention to her that there would be blood...she was not too happy about that.

Fortunately, the little tooth box I ordered for arrived today. Perfect timing!
(This is not the most flattering picture of Hailey, but it will have to do.)

Girl Scout Cookie Mommy

Rain...what you do not want when picking up 1300 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies!

Since the bed of our troop leader's truck was wet, we tried to get as many as possible inside the vehicles. I almost got hit in the head with a box of Tagalongs a few times.

Needless to say, I made as few turns as possible on the way home. Although extremely funny, next year we will have "Daddy support." Pulling, counting, loading, unloading, and sorting that many cookies is hard work. Fortunately, we have an adorable group of girls in our troop. Their cute little faces make it all worth while!!!

Hailey's New Bike

We are so proud of Hailey!!!
She used her birthday gift cards and money to buy herself a new bike. It is a very cool pink and black freestyle bike. Daddy loves it!!!

Hailey is still trying to master riding without training wheels. A bigger bike made a huge difference, but she still needs some practice.

Stay away from the light poles Hailey!

Getting a pep talk from Dad before taking off.

The best part is, she absolutely loves her bike because SHE bought it.

Huntington Library with Girl Scouts

Hailey's Daisy Girl Scout went to the Huntington Library and Gardens today. It was such a perfect day. Hailey had a wonderful time.

This place is so beautiful in the winter. I can only imagine what it must be like in the spring.

Hailey was smelling rose petals in the conservatory. This was a science teacher's dream!!!

The Children's Garden was so much fun. Hailey did not want to leave!

Hailey made me promise that we would go back in the spring with Sean and Haiden.

Relaxing At The Cabin

We went up to the cabin Friday afternoon and spent the night. The kids had fun playing in the leftover snow on the driveway.

Haiden and Hailey had fun using Grandma's snowball makers. They threw the snowballs at each other and at the trees.

Grandma wanted a picture of them playing on a very old sled that is hanging in the garage. Haiden was mad that I would not let him sled down the driveway and into the street.

The snow was melting, so we had to settle for a snowbunny instead of a snowman. Unfortunately, we had to drive over him when we went to the store later that day. Poor bunny!

All bundled up to go outside at night.

We ended our visit with a nice walk by the creek in the backyard.

100 Days of Kindergarten

Yesterday was Hailey's 100th day of Kindergarten!

She insisted on wearing her first day of school dress (minus the socks) to the celebration. Hailey had a great time putting together a trail mix that had 100 pieces. She also made a necklace with 100 Fruit Loops.

Rock Star Diva

Hailey wanted a Rock Star Birthday this year!

Here is Hailey during her "photo shoot."

Each girl was asked to wear a black shirt and black leggings to the party. When they arrived, they were able to go to all the stations and dress up like a Rock Star Diva.

The Bling Station: boas, necklaces, rings, bracelets, & sequin skirts

The Hair Station: headbands & pink hair pieces

Here was Hailey's favorite part...

The Makeup Station: pink star & makeup application by Auntie Megan

The girls were also given a glitter microphone
to rock out with.

Lunch included star fruit skewers, star cheese, star ham, crackers, pretzels, pink M&M's, and raspberry punch.

The cake was chocolate and had sparkler candles.

Hailey made a CD of all her favorite "Rock Star" songs to play during freeze dance, lim-boa, and their dance party. Each girl got a copy of the CD and some stickers. The party was very loud, but Hailey enjoyed every minute of it. Hailey was especially pleased that her teacher came to the party too!

Future Cheerleader - Part 2

Hailey cheered at a varsity basketball game Tuesday night. All the little girls performed the cheers and half-time routine they learned on Saturday. Hailey did a great job. She had a huge smile on her face the entire time!

Happy 6th Birthday Hailey - Part 2

Hailey had a wonderful 6th birthday. She woke up early so she could open her presents before school.

Hailey got clothes, books, and American Girl Chocolates from Daddy, Mommy & Haiden.

Hailey was so happy to have family over that night for pizza and cake. It was a wonderful day!
