My Little Ladies Man

Haiden's babysitter was able to capture this adorable picture last week. This little girl is the love of Haiden's life. I guess they watched TV like this for a long time. SO CUTE!

Fortunately for Haiden, his best friend is at the babysitter the first half of the week and his best girl is there at the end of the week. He never has to decide between the two of them. Too bad it won't be that way forever! Wait...I can't think about that right now. I want to freeze time and keep Haiden right where he is. I am not ready to even think about the concept of a teenage Haiden and girlfriends!!!!

Earth Day

(I know this is late...sorry.)

HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Hailey brought her Fancy Nancy Earth Day book to school for her teacher to read to the class. She loves to find ways to make EVERY DAY EARTH DAY.

Haiden was not awake when I took this picture. His shirt gives you a 3-step plan for saving a forest.
1. Plant a tree
2. Hug a tree
3. Repeat steps 1-2

Dance Dance Daisy

Hailey had a Girl Scout event today. A Junior troop from the area hosted "Dance Dance Daisy" at the studio where Hailey does gymnastics.

I was very proud of her today. She was the only girl from her troop that attended, so they put her with another troop. Hailey quickly made some new friends and had a great time.

Hailey made a skirt, a necklace, learned a dance, and walked the catwalk. She got a giant bag of candy and a patch when it was over. She is one happy daisy!

My Sister Made Me Do It...

Poor Haiden! It is tough having a bossy older sister.

I am not sure who picked out the beanie, but I know Hailey insisted on the tutu.

So cute...right. Too bad this was them trying to avoid going to bed.

Daisy Fashion Show

Hailey's Girl Scout troop went to an assisted living facility and did a spring fashion show for the residents. She did a very good job!

After the show, Hailey went around and talked with some of the residents. It was adorable to watch how she interacted with them. I was very proud.

Hailey had a lot of fun. They are planning on going back soon to do a craft project.

What In The World...

I had a really important meeting after school today. Because of timing restraints, my only option was to take Hailey and Haiden with me. They started off really good. I even got them food to keep them occupied. Unfortunately, the meeting started about 20 minutes late. All their good behavior time had expired in the lobby. When I finally got to the right room I got them seated with their food, some paper and a pen. Lets just say that the pen got more use than the paper.

Haiden really had a bad day. First, he was jumping up trying to see something on the counter at the babysitter and got a little too close. He smacked the top of his nose on the underside of the counter...ouch. You can see some of the marks int he picture. I think the "X" will be on his nose for a while because it hurts him too much if I try and wash it off. On our way home from their "artistic" meeting with Mommy, he decided to unbuckle his seat belt. As he stood up in the car and held on to the back of my seat, he said that he wanted to go for a ride. I asked him if he wanted me to take him on a "ride" to the police station! That sure got him to sit down.

I would love to say that my 3-year-old can write his own name, but that is not the case. Hailey thought it was fun to "decorate" her brother.

But wait, she did not just write on her brother. This (very intelligent) little girl took the time to draw on HER OWN face as well. We are always praising her for her amazing artistic talents, but this is taking it a little too far!

I did get a few minutes of peace and quiet during the meeting. Although, I also got to scrub their arms and faces for quite a while when we got home!

I absolutely looked like Mother Of The Year today...NOT!!!

He Is Risen...

We started our beautiful Easter Sunday with baskets and an egg hunt.

The kids are very excited about their new DVD.

Church was packed today! It was good to see so many people accept Christ on Easter.

Both sides of the family came to our house for an early dinner.

Both of my "bucket heads" were ready for the family egg hunt.

Grandma Lynne's grandsons.

The Chase "men"

Hailey needed a little help. Who was hiding those eggs?

Bubble wands and kites were very popular gifts today!

As if all the food was not enough to eat, we had enough desserts for an army. My sister made adorable basket cupcakes and a sunflower cake.

Happy Easter! Remember that it is not about the bunny.

Caged Animals

They are not in a cage, but that might have helped!

Haiden and Hailey spent the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa at an Easter party. They had a lot of sugar and no nap. By the time we got them for party #2 they were out of control!

Easter Eggs

We had the kids color Easter Eggs tonight.

All set up and ready to go.

Sean mixed all the colors for the last 3 eggs.

Garage Sale

We decided to have a garage sale last Saturday.

This was a first for the kids.

They enjoyed eating donuts in the garage wearing pj's and jackets.

It was nice to get some clutter out of the garage!

Of course, we picked a windy day! This is all that was left of the 10 signs Sean put out.
